Sharks: a Misunderstood Mystery
Brinley here. Today our topic is on sharks. Many people think sharks are the monsters that are the cause of the sudden disappearances of surfers. They think that sharks purposefully eat people.Well, they are wrong.
Okay, so its true that people are killed by sharks, but its only because the sharks think that they are seals. Okay, this may seem confusing, but just look at the bottom of this surfboard.
It reminds me of a seal. And lets keep in mind that sharks don't have great seeing, they see you from below, it may be dark, and some surfboards may be the color of prey. "...humans are not actually on the great white's menu," says National Geographic. In fact, people kill more sharks each year than sharks kill people.
Introduction: Sharks
Brinley here! Okay guys, I know what you're thinking. Why did I pick sharks? I love big cats! Big cats are my favorite animals ever in the whole world. Well, I chose to do a whole section on sharks because I fell like sharks are very misunderstood and abused. So at least once a week, I will be writing a little something about sharks. Be sure to put your comments below! Thanks!
